Cone Filter Questions
« on: 30 August 2013, 00:22 »
Looking to get a cone filter, probably an s2000 filter. But I have 2 questions.

1) What silicon reducer will I require for my standard MAF, and where do I buy it?

2) What do I use to filter my secondary air pump. As the hose connects to the airbox, with no airbox, I will have no filter. I don't want to delete the SAI.

Thanks again!
I thought Volkswagens were supposed to be reliable?

You don't need to out a filter on the sai pipe but I did more for engine dress up purposes the MAF end will need 70-72mm and the filter end is 86mm I think

Why is it that you don't need to filter the SAI pipe? Probably asking dumb questions here.

it only turns on for the first 90sec of the engine being started, its not that you "don't need one" more that it wont hurt if you do not use one.

Cool, well I've ordered an s2000 filter and a reducer. Where did you get your SAI filter? I like the idea of having one, and where on earth should I mount the SAI hose once the airbox is gone?

I have sub question for this, what do you do with the MAF sensor?
