can anybody whos got DynAudio test their sub at max strength with the boot open?
Does it sound that deep and loud?

Had a quick check this morning afer re-ripping some reference CDs to WAV, AAC and the like. The source doesnt seem to make much difference.

What I found out was that for the sub in the boot does vey little with way too much of the low frequencies being passed to the rest of the system. Will try different settings but I think thats really the main issue for me.

Maybe I was expecting too much from an OEM system?

For most music it is fine, but for the house and trance music that I tend to listen too it just doesnt sound right.

I'd get your system checked out mate, all I listen to is house and trance and the dynaudio sounds outstanding (and I'm an old fart so I've been listening to that kind of music since I was young so I know what it should sound like )

Never thought about it being faulty actually.

Has anyone has a fault dynaudio system?

I was hoping it would be more like my five way setup in my old G40, but it just sounds less than halfway between a standard system and that.

I doubt mine is faulty but I was curious hency why I posted.... the sub doesnt go thump thump... it just lets some low frequency out... but perhaps the acoustic chamber is the boot itself, so having the boot open just destorys the sound

I think I need to take a trip into the dealership to try another DynAudio system out.

Feel like I should have spec'd it. Oh well next time or spend 500 getting some aftermarket setup.

I've had passengers say how "bassy" it is in the back, perhaps you should get someone else to drive and see if you can here the sub?  Also, open the hatch between the two back seats so you can hear what is happening in the boot.

Just been out to the car to check the sub. It's certainly vibrating, but it's not moving a lot of air where it's positioned.

I will try my Daft Punk Tron Sound Track CD and see if it makes any difference

That would be a good test. Works well in mine

Same as mine then... perhaps I am just not used to a sub like this. Its twin channel too......
