Hmmm

Nav - Discover nav is more than adequate, however if you have money to burn why not! Nav audio is good and the directions and more are also displayed on the mfd screen so you don't have to look at the main screen.

Colour - I have oryx and it is ... Amazing, don't listen to the majority on here whining about it being too much money and not different to pure white. Don't get nav pro and get this. After all, all the other colours are so uninspiring and bland. And you can tell the difference between 'emulsion' white and oryx. Photos don't do it justice but in the flesh it more like a really light silver.

Keyless - This adds a nice touch once you get used to it, but you don't get any different or special key although it is slightly larger than the previous mk6 key

I don't recall whining about it or saying there is no difference, although at a distance...and it is a considered amount of extra money.  "emulsion" white?   If iridescent paint is your bag then oryx is a very good, albeit relatively expensive choice.  Is CSG uninspiring though?  Red bland?

Sorry, I forgot that I mentioned particular people in my last post! The number of people not choosing oryx and the number people slating it because of its price and appearance is exactly the reason why it's a good option to go for because its different

Chose what ever option you want and can afford. Life would be pretty sh!t if we were all the same. Can you imagine everybody driving the same car and colour??

Could be up for that

Need to get 'team oryx' going

You don't want to feel a bit of a tit when you see an oryx golf in the flesh, having bought a pure white car.

@rick2b, I just find the manner in which you seem to be defending and justifying your choice at the expense of insulting/belittling others a bit off, that's all.  As you said, buy what you want and can afford.  Clearly you value the external appearance of your car, and that's fine.  I've gone for options that are generally inside the car because that's of more value to me.

Why would I feel a tit pulling up next to an oryx GTD in my pure white GTI?

I obviously need to dispose of my attempted humour and half hearted sarcasm ! (Maybe I should have bought a bmw)
I have probably spent too much time reading threads on here to be fair

I don't apologise for trying to have a light hearted discussion, with some like I say attempted humour, but if anyone was really put off then I apologise

If I really didn't like white, I would not have bought a white mk6 and then bought another 'white' golf.

The point is you wouldn't. Because you wouldn't be able to tell the difference.
