Just turn on in Vag-Com to be on all the time use Terminal 58 i think. So i have my red LED set to 90% when driving, looks nice.

Spot on, terminal 58 it was on the vcds.  Massive thumbs up to Chris from Sunderland for doing this, top bloke. Interior lights now replaced with white LED's and footwell looks so much better than the standard bulbs!

Uh..stupid question time... Why do you footwell lights on whilst driving? Do you have nice shoes or something?

It's ambient lighting. It's surprising how gloomy my Passat seems inside without them compared to my Golf.

I have them set at 30% which I think is nice and subtle. They come on at full brightness with the interior lights, but dim down when driving.

Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

I got a lift off my mate in his GTD and when driving noticed his footwell lights were on and I liked it, hence wondered why mine didn't stay on. It's a nice ambient light, not necessary I know but nice all the same. Personal preference I guess!

So to enable the footwell lights in a gti do you enable it with vag com?
