A bearing? Alternator. waterpump, power steering. Take the belts off and spin them by hand, listen for bearing rumble

or even start it up and use a long bar/screwdriver and place end on alt/pump etc then stick your ear on the end of bar/screwdriver and you should be able to pin point the whine

Take wife/girlfriend out of car and re-check before you do anything further.

If it's not the other half it'll probably be the alternator bearings.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

Has it always done it? Or just started doing it?

Screwdriver trick usually works or.....

Just remove the aux belts and start car. If it still whines then check timing belt tension and tensioner. If it stops then stick alternator belt back on start car etc until you find component causing it
