That's great news mate   It is indeed an absolutely fantastic car, and I for one can't believe how much of an upgrade it is over my old Mk5.  If all goes well you should be driving it around mid-October, if not sooner (mine was 2.5 weeks from the start of the build week to delivery at the dealers).  Plus, based on pictures, the GTI looks more distinctive than the R anyway, but no denying it will be an absolute beast in terms of power!

Yep - long story but family nearby, local dealers little discount called in on the off chance and they give out generous discounts as you know! Slightly bettered DTD at the time for me.

Probably a 5 hour drive plus an overnight ferry to look forward to but saving thousands so well worth it
