Oem valve. What revision failed?

How has it failed...Split rubber?

not sure what revision it is mate, or 100% on how its failed. plastic clips maybe? apparently it's causing boosting issues (although the car seems to be driving fine).

to be honest I'm more tempted by the OEM valve just because of the price difference.

I would find out. Your age vehicle is likely a D (No diaphragm) or G (More likely).

Usually the rubber can split leaking boost which you may not perceive if it's a small tear but the ECU would detect an issue if the requested pressure differed from the actual pressure produced.

If it was diagnosed through a fault stored on the car then they should be able to tell you the code which is usually P0299.

I believe the Forge may need periodic greasing.

it probably has got a tear, forge one is recommended to be serviced at something like 5k, i've seen one seize before that

also the position is a PINTA to get to on the tsi unlike the K04 cars

thanks for the advice guys.

no error codes returned, just a leak spotted by the mechanic doing the service.

after looking in to it, gonna replace with the rev G and see how it holds up.

Shouldnt an 09 plate have a Rev G in it anyways?

When you say leak what do you meen?
Unless he took it out and inspected it to see it was split the only other way would be by sound.
If he said oil leak on the diverter valve thats something else. Have a look at my oil leak thread if thats the case as i originally thought it was diverter valve.
