Whilst I am against fracking in general and have signed up, we better get used to wars in the middle east for oil and countries that have it dictating our fuel prices.
Bit hypocritical to drive a car and be nimbyist about looking for it in our country.
Conventional means are just as destructive with millions of folk affected across the poorer world, are we saying its ok for them to put up with sh!t we are not prepared to accept ourselves?
What's the acceptable price of cheap energy in the UK.....

My friend is currently building a biogas plant on his farm that will power 3k homes with scope for more. His turbines are designed to be modular and he gets a free upgrade under his contract in two years timeish to convert them to run on hydrogen. A few in germany have already had this done and are running at 70% burn efficiency whilst methane sits at 50ish. Just saying.

Fracking isn't the answer. We have the technology to come up with sustainable alternatives, and yet the big oil companies have such influence with world governments that research and development of renewable energy and other alternatives to fossil fuels have been blocked.

if we could send a man to the moon back in 69 surely in the 21st century we can find an alternative to fossil fuels.

Oil/gas aint going anywhere but up in price we need to do this now so we don't have to be held hostage to suppliers in other countries !
