MK2 golf and scirocco conversion
« on: 15 August 2005, 17:58 »
soz, made a new topic coz this IS kinda different, erm.... basically, as i was saying, im trying to get this 85 mk 2 golf up to scratch, and i got hold of a scirocco steering wheel, from a A reg,

now im thinking of transferring the drivers seat from the scirocco to the golf, ( if it fits/works)... but can i transfer the steering wheel 2, im kinda worried coz if i wire it wrong or it aint meant to go, i dont wanna blow fuses or anything....

can anyone enlighten me.... thanx again in advance ...

Sirocco seats will fit perfectly and give you a lower driving position if you like which is nice :)

The steering wheel will almost defo fit, but the only issue you MIGHT have is that the steering column on the Golf has the large spline adaptor.  But I'm 99.99% sure it wasn't fitted till 87 at the earliest.

If it is fitted you can remove it, but its a total arse. Only attempt if you have a decent set of gear pullers :)

I'm not sure about that,  if the plugs match up then it should fit no worries :)

Just take the negative lead off the battery, safest thing to do :)
