Does having the engine chipped increase fuel economy? If you don't drive flat out?

I've seen a genuine worked out with maths 10% improvement in fuel economy from my Passat 140 CR DSG when driven normally. Use the extra performance and obviously it will use more fuel.

Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

overall it ends up being the same, you see an increase in pootling, however, tend to use the added oomph a bit more

i would be expecting mpg miracles on a 35

Look at basics like tyre pressure, wheel balancing and alignment too
