Loss of power...still!
« on: 30 July 2013, 18:15 »
I am getting an occasional loss of power, sometimes I will start it and it will have power loss, turn the engine off and on again and power is back. I am getting the camshaft position sensor - implausible signal code, but the sensor has been changed and timing checked twice. Any ideas. Car is 1.6

this is limp mode. Have you cleared the code since fitting the new sensor?

might be a fault with the plug or wiring itself then mate, might need an auto electrician to check it unless someone here knows the resistance values?

That's what a was thinking mate. Wiring issue. Because with it only been intermittent there may be a short somewhere.

implausible signal could mean your timing belt is off a tooth or two, or it might just be a sh!t quality sensor.
