Some people ain't able to repair themselves but still love that sh1t. The point he is making its covered by insurance and the company they are employing aint sorting what is covered. Fair complaint I'd say. And in terms of sourcing it...he has and it's been passed to the company to pay as per policy.

And McGee/Tweed that's some crappy answer. Guy also says he only bothered as it was saving some cash and shouldn't have bothered....how's that not learning??

You aint learning.

The lesson is. If you buy a classic car, you're better off repairing it your self or sourcing parts for a professional to fit.
there was nothing in the first post to state that ricepop cannot repair or service/maintain his car. if someone has windscreen insurance then that's the whole point of it. so you can leave it to someone else.

answer to what question dumb ass?

He said hes learnt his lesson and wont get a stone chip again. From that comment has he learnt?

Why are you posting pointless comments on a old dead thread?

Now repeat something thats already been said.

dETA and Gareth, thanks for the support, I was feeling a bit battered from the other posts.

What is the point of having insurance if the companies involved cant help you sort thing out.

From the outset Autoglass have assured me that they know exactly what they are doing and what is required, but have yet to deliver or even listen to what I am saying.

I am still without a windscreen and Autoglass assure me that they will have the bits by the middle of next week.

I don't have much faith that it will get done as the phone calls I have are very dismissive.
