Hey dervy,

You need the image tags and the direct link.  Here:

How was the leather?  What was the quality like?

I told you I was an IT numpty!!! The leather seems good quality to me. It appears softer than in my Mk6 and the seats appear to be capable of accommodating the more fully figured individual without losing the necessary grip! They are very comfortable and a very nice design, although I preferred the way the headrests were built into the back of the seat on my mk6.

Back to quality. I suppose only time will tell, but the ones in my three and a half year old, 40,000 Mk6 GTD looked virtually as good as new when I sold it - and the leather smell remained. I don't think that you will be disappointed - I'm definitely not

Cheers mate!  And great looking car btw, good colour choice, goes well with the roof.  And despite my comments in the alloys thread those wheels really suit it!

Leather looks awesome, but couldn't justify £2,700 on them. I was shocked at the cost I have to be honest.

You mean £1700. But yeah its real expensive!  I'm trying to remember what I paid for my Ford leather.  I think it was £600 for leather sports seats with red trim, but no heaters.  £600 is more reasonable and I'm very happy with the quality of it.  Just hoping the VW quality is at least as good as if it isn't I'd feel short changed by that price.  (Hmm, it might have been £900, I really can't remember).

Oh, and the non-leather seats were very comfy I thought.  I'm basically going leather because I love it so much on my current car.  If I was to go cost cutting I'd probably axe this first though, then the performance pack! That knocks nearly £2.7k off the price!
