What ET 8x17 on rear

Considering 8x17 on rear , what ET would you guys recommend with 30mm drop on a vr6.

30 to 35 will be fine but you may need to trim the arches.

If I kept the offset at ET43 , I 'd get an equal increase inwards or outwards, good idea or bad? I guess hitting the shock could become an issue.....

Yep it be very close to touching the shock.

Nah it wont! Only if you try and fit tyres bigger than 215 wide.

Standard offset is 45 which has lots of leeway

I ran 7x17 with a 35mm offset on mine and it was tight for clearance.

You need to run 205/40/17's as well, 215's will throw the gearing / speedo out.

215/40's are fine. Check the Wheel/Tyre info up above.

what ET did you run?

I think they were standard ET but I will look at the wheels and check for you.

I also ran the same tyres on a set of 7.5x17's which they are still fitted to and in my possession.
