Also replace your thermostat first as why did it go down to 70. When mine used to go down from 90 normal temp i took thermo out and put it in boiling water and it did not open. Strange as it must of alway been open.  If it shut it will over heat big time / it could just be faulty /common crap on most cars.

I would check to see if fans work by unpluging the sensor on the radiator and bridging the plug with a wire ,if they work then its the temp sensor in the rad thats gone. This : http://compare.ebay.co.uk/like/141003935455?var=lv&var=sbar&_lwgsi=y&cbt=y&device=c&adtype=pla&crdt=0&ff3=1&ff11=ICEP3.0.0&ff12=67&ff13=80&ff14=66

My uncle bridged it over and the fans didnt work. What does that mean it could be?

It stays at 90c all the time but goes down to around 70ish when I had the blowers on hot at full. It also shot right up when it was overheating so im fairly sure the thermostat is working correctly?

Still waiting for a solution as the fans dont come on at all when ticking over.

i would remove the fan and test it on a bench with a 12v battery and see if it can be fixed ,if pop to a scrap yard to get another fan.

I managed to get it fixed for £20.

Basically the fuse had corroded away underneath and you couldnt tell from the top so they fitted a new wire and its not working correctly!
