hey man. the gtis had small bumpers and big bumpers, ive got a small bumper gti and a big bumper gti and to be honest I think the big bumper are kind off out of proportion to the rest of the car. much rather the cleaner old school small bumper look myself. you need a few other parts to convert besides the bumpers themselves.

ive already got the big bumpers but I want to go back to small bumpers, how do I do it haha?? is it simple

im not to sure if the bumpers interchange with the arches. but I know you need a front valance and a splitter. but maybe there a valance on yours since it would have been small bumper to begin with. and I think the wing mounting brackets are different to. just go on a google search. sure there will be info about the bumper swap there. after all. the mk2s have been around since 1984 lol.

Just done mine,switched back from big bumpers to small...

yeah that's more like it. so I guess the big bumper works ok with the small bumper arch trims. not sure about the other way round though. have you any pics of front of car c5 oem?

Make sure you get a 16v splitter with brake ducts.
Big bumpers are not as clean as small bumpers and sill trims are a rust trap.
A cheap face lift at the end of mk2 production which has not dated as well as the original mk2 look imo
Although at the time I pissed money up the wall on big bumper conversions......
