big bumpers or small bumpers

Both look good on a minter but leave the bumpers as they were from factory. That's the way to go

mines a 1984 A reg so the big bumpers definitely aren't standard haha, they don't sit right and I think small bumpers look cleaner. no point doing bumper conversions as they will never fit aswell as standard bumpers

did you have to buy new front+rear bumpers to convert it back mate?? my arches don't sit very well either, need to jack it up and have a look as to why.

Mine is meant to be big bumpers but nothing really sits right. There is no way for the arches to secure at the top which annoys me.

how much would it be to convert my car back to small bumpers do you think??? would I need new brackets? someone said a new valance but im sure that's not much..

small bumpers, keep arches? I think if you have the small bumpers the plastic panel across the doors makes it look more original too,  just basically the same as the pic of that small bumpered golf in this thread someone posted

Just done mine,switched back from big bumpers to small...

That one had small bumpers from the factory, so good on ya.

We like spotting big bumper models with small bumpers fitted.

Small bumpers with front quarter lights.
It's the way forward.
