Patches under the sill trims make them sit funny and look blargh.
This will not be cheap to pay for.
Ask Murray to estimate the hours required to do this work properly and multiply it by 20 ph which is a fair rate.
It is a rare car and im not trying to put you off but a quick job will look gash

if i was you i'd take the rear bumper off, the side skirts off and then see what its like. If its rotten through there. then i'd personally sit down and have a think what i wanted to do with this car. That is alot of rust.

and if you really thinking about keeping it and giving it for a full respray. then do it once and get it done properly. at the end of the day it is an 16v anni.

I know it looks bad, but im not going to find another mk3 without rusty arches under the trims, nevermind a 16v anni, im treated it as being part and parcel of being a mk3 owner, and like murraymint, once its done, it shouldn't need doing again.
Of course you would. None rust 16v are out there as I have one

You often find in breakers the odd poverty spec mk3 with good arches. Cutting out the outer and a section of the inner arches and fabricate into yours. If done right it could remain invisible if thats what you want. I've done all this work to my last mk3 but used aftermarket repair panels and it was a far job to get right, albeit it was a more door. I jus scrapped a 92 vr6 with solid rears so they are out there. The early mk3's have slightly thicker steel at the arches.
