Blue Graphite Pearl is a very nice colour, looks very smart and its something a little different
Agree, Blue Graphite Pearl looks good and it was available on the mk5 too. You don't see too many mk5 or mk6 Golfs in Blue Graphite, so maybe it wasn't that popular. I've seen discussion threads where some have mistaken it for the GTI / GTD only Carbon Grey metallic. They do look similar, until you get a Blue Graphite and Carbon Grey car side by side.
Many of the 36 colours were marketed as 'special' paint in Europe and were
very expensive. From memory, the special colours cost around 1,700 Euro extra. Colour preference is always a very personal thing, but I think you'd
really have to like a colour to pay that much extra for it!
Of the 36 colours that were available in Europe, setting aside the issue of price, if they'd all been available in the UK when I ordered my car, I still think I'd have chosen Carbon (Steel) Grey.
