I'd go for what I already have:

DCC
Discover nav
Keyless
Winter pack
Reverse camera
Climate screen
Advanced phone prep

Not sure what that lot comes to, but if I had to spend 3k, add Dynaudio to the list at a push!
Pure White Mk7 GTI (5dr, Manual)

Options: Reverse Camera, Keyless, Adaptive Chasis, Climate Screen, Winter Pack, Discover Nav, Advanced Phone Prep

Performance Pack - no brainer  :lipsrsealed:
19" Santiagos
Dynaudio

I could live without the Sat Nav even though I've specced it, but those 3 options were always being picked no matter what the price!

Pure white paint + winter pack (non-leather) + climate screen + phone preparation + Dynaudio + rear view camera + Park Assist + side airbags = £2305.  From my dream specification, I would do without ACC and the "Pro" navigation.

I actually don't get why everyone is saying the PP is a no-brainer. Personally I think you have to have no brains to pay £800 for bigger brakes, 10 bhp and a differential when the car already has 220bhp, decent brakes and XDS+. Why would you?

Couldn't agree more. I did consider adding PP before having a word with myself. I'm never ever gonna drive my GTI on the Nürburgring so I very much doubt I'll ever see the benefit of the (e)LSD. Just my view.

Having said all that I must admit the engineering on it sounds well sorted. I just don't think I'll drive my GTI hard enough, for long enough to reap the benefits of the diff (so it would be be kinda wasted on me). I'll have to make do with with the measly 220PS instead. Haha

My £3k worth of extras would be:

Sat NAV Pro
ACC
Keyless system

Interesting views on the PP no brainer..

Personally would agree most people won't feel the difference, my personal view is you wouldn't need to be flat out on track to get some e diff benefit.  I think the gti logo brakes look quite cool and fill the wheels a bit better, and I think it might be a desirable option on the used market, where the new price of options tends to converge..

For example I doubt the same car with a pan roof or the bigger wheels will fetch more an the PP car given they are all the same price new ?

Only my view but I would rather spend 900 on "hardware" and engineering rather than something like a bigger nav screen..

I think selecting the PP is something akin to the placebo effect. Most of us will never feel the full benefit but for some reason it's comforting just knowing that you have it anyway

Maybe on the track, but not in everyday use, methinks.

Yeah that as well

Two things as well from my point of view

1) You know the car is the best it can be (without remapping of course)
2) I would hate to be sitting at traffic lights and another GTI pulls up alongside me with the PP and I didn't have it. I am by no means a boy racer, I would just feel my car was inferior (that's a personal opinion)

- 5 Door (6 years of 3 doors as love the lines has eventually beaten me and actually driven me to despair with moans & groans and hassle of passengers getting in and out)
- DSG (Wife insistence as friends and colleagues have them and she just loves them, I have always been manual but as there are paddles and DSG is one of best of the type, I have relented)
- DCC My #1 issue with present car, the ride so think there is some reflex in ordering this as taking no chances

Is that my £3k?

- Pure White was a no option choice too as much as love the Black it again became a royal pain to keep clean.
- Sat Nav is my OCD choice as hate wires etc, minimalist and understated always wins for me.
- Winter Pack as after many years of sport and still exercising now the lumbar and heat on seats is going to be lovely on a cold morning as creak a little

- I would have seriously optioned the Nogaro so very happy they standard as love them!
- I would have had difficult choice if Alcantara was out there as an option though cloth seats look great and are by all accounts
- Cancelled the climate screen as not paying for an option I seriously would never use in advanced phone pack.

My order is pennies short of £30k but at a zero cost lease deal to me due to C02 concessions so very happy  where as the A3 was going to choose was at some personal cost and not even close to GTD in engine and options as most that are standard are chargeable on Audi

PS: Luther on ITV now!! :)
