GTD oil temp What's yours
« on: 02 July 2013, 18:28 »
As the title really just wondered what's normal.
My oil temp used to sit about 92 degrees after a 20 mile run
Lately it varies between 94-95 degrees and today after cruising on the motorway at 90mph for 5 miles it was showing 100 degrees

But normally it's showing around 97

Oh that's reassuring
I was worrying when it was at 100.
When mine was at 92 maybe the outside temp was much lower then.
Thanks

At the same time I do have a VERY heavy right foot, but normally anything in the low-mid 90's is fine

I usually travel at 80mph which usually sits 94 degrees so was slightly concerned to see 100!

If you have the same white display then I think the gearchange can be added via vcds I'm sure I've seen the option.
As for oil temp if you have the sensor in the bottom of the sump I'm sure it could be enabled too.
If you look in your engine measurements on vcds see if it reads oil temp.

I would think that would depend if you have an HighLine MFD.

I can choose what values I want showing on my MFD in the settings.

My oil temp is around 92°C cruising at 70mph. If I cruise at 100mph for a while then it goes up to 100°C.

It won't show any temperature reading until it reaches 50°C.

This digital gear indicator has been talked about before.

It would be nice to see your car spec in your signature?
