Hi guys, I've put my s2000 filter on today and only had a slight increase as far as the noise from the dv is concerned. Not really noticed anything different compared to a pipercross panel filter.

Also , I've attempted to put a heatshield around it and what a palava.
It doesn't fit properly because of the size of the cone.

I was wondering if I took off the heatshield, would I get heat soak or would it be fine ?

Has anybody run this filter without a heatshield on a standard maf on an agu engine and was it ok or did it create problems ?

Make the hole bigger on the heat shield thats what i did so fits im my 4mo

Personally i would not run it without it. The filter got very hot without it.. now it stays cool even after a propa blast

The hole fits my maf perfect, and I've trimmed down the silicone reducer in order to get the filter actually inside the vehicle LOL
But when I do up the two bolts that should secure the heatshield in place it puts a lot of stress on the maf. As in... Nothing settles without a fight. With the heatshield off its fine, but when everything is connected there's quite a bit of strain on each part, reducer, filter and maf because of the awkward angle .
Also the heatshield I'm testing out has got quite a big hole that caters for a cold feed pipe that's not connected at the moment and it's currently allowing warm air to come through .

If people have run it without heatshoeld and experienced no problem, I can take it off and make life easier

Does the heatshield not have a crease in it? Mine does which allows it to bend, therefore eliminating stress on the maf.

+1 i bent my heat shield a bit so doesnt put stress on the maf and can handle vibration.did u buy the heatshield from that guy selling it in the classifieds by any chance with hole on the side :lipsrsealed:
