Hi all
Just wondering if a standard clutch would hold on a auq with a remap or would i have to upgrade to the vr6 clutch straight away? If not when would you expect the clutch to start to slip?
Thanks

I would upgrade asap. if your clutch starts slipping then your not going to get your new found power down properly. and you will be wasting fuel with a slipping clutch.

mmmm I thought this..my 1st and 2nd gear seems to rev very high very quickly and that started after the remap...but the rest of my gears are ok... so you guys recommend a upgrade..

all depends where you source your parts. I think I payed £80 for the clutch plate, and had the flywheel from a breakers, cant remember exactly how much that was, it was a few years back and still holding strong.

Your in the same boat as me, I also have an auq180 I assume yours also has a 6speed box!?.... The vr6clutch and flywheel set up wont work with our 02m boxes and aftermarket clutches are expensive
Saying that I'm running 240bhp and 270lbsft on a dual mass flywheel and OEM clutch no problem, depends how many miles is on your clutch and how worn your dual mass flywheel is?
