vr6 starting problem, wont crank

My vr6 won't start, I turn the key and all lights still illuminate, but when turning to start it it doesn't even crank, battery is working fine, any ideas?

Ignition switch

Try wobbling the key see if it disturbs the switch

Got her going bump starting it, think the starter motors knackered, are they the same as an 8v ?

Also tried wiggling the keys but no luck, RAC technician said its the starter motor, anyone got/know of one for sale?

try a direct live from battery+ to starter solenoid (thin wire terminal) try it a few times to be sure. and if it don't crank then your starters suspect.

More then likely the battery, if theres not enough charge on it then it wont crank at all, try giving the battery a good charge first

if the battery was flat the lights would go dim when you try to crank it over.

Replaced the starter motor and still nothing, ever since ive had the car i noticed sometimes i would turn the key all the way but there was nothing, id have to take the key out and put it in again and then it would fire, would this be the switch?
