I must have looked into every brake disc and pad made for the mk6 gti to find one that is good but not too expensive. I looked at replacing standard with standard but that was a waste of time as I wanted something upgraded.

I looked at ebc green and yellow stuff and read mixed reviews.

I have decided to order some Pagid discs front and rear and ordered some tarox pads to go with them.

Have anyone had any experience with either of these?

I will use them as fast road mainly including a couple of track days when the car is the way I want it to be running.

I thought they were available for the mk5 and 6 GTI.

Pagid pads get very good reviews and are meant to last well so I'm sure the discs will be good too. they will be a big improvement over standard I would guess.

What pads did you go for? Tarox do a fast road and track pad.

They are tarox strada which are the fast road pads. I was trying to put off changing them until after my holidays but with eurocarparts having the reduction, I had to buy the discs.

I bought the pads from revolution which were comparable in price that I could find on the Internet.

Next will be handling :)

The discs look about the same price. Eurocarparts also had a 25% sale on also.

The discs are the same size, 312 fronts. They are the only Pagid discs available for my car on eurocarparts.

Sorry I can't link as I'm on my phone.

I got the Ngk spark plugs from Ecp a few weeks ago. Cheapest I could get for them.

Sadly Pagid discs and pads via ECP are no longer the decent stuff they once were...
ECP own the rights to the Pagid brand name in the UK and use it on everything from air freshener to screen wash, Unfortunately this means that the discs are cheap generic tat proudly made in the people's republic of China..
Do yourself a favour and buy some OE discs from the dealer
