Reattaching sill trims after welding...help please!

I was thinking of removing my sill trims. U think it looks good/good move?

They look alot smarter with them on i think. Sill/Arch trims give it character tbh. Infact majority of us on the forum have got them on.

I'm going to use some stainless self tappers, screw them in, remove them, spray underseal in to the hole, then put the screw back in coated in copper grease! Should be okay!

Is the bottom section of the sill sealed on?

I want mine off but I'm terrified of what I might find,  i was extremely lucky when the arch trims were removed but i know that the inner sills lips are crushed which only mean the inevitable lurking behind the plastics.

Is it hard to remove the bottom half which is bonded on?
