This is a question for the less OCD detailers amongst us (but ones who still look after their cars). Proper detailers please overt your eyes ;)

For the last 4 years I've treated my car 2 to 3 times per a year with:

Chemical Guys XXX Hardcore CarnaubaPaste Wax

Absolutely amazing product. Water beads off even months after application. It also means less dirt sticks to the car and alloys too. As an extra bonus it smells beautiful when you apply.

Bare in mind I've got a Rising Blue colour at the moment. Would this method/product be suitable for pure white*?

*Mods I know this question has been raised before but the post got moved to Detailing, however not as many people frequent that section. Please keep here as I'd like to canvas wider opinion.

I tend to use AG SRP and AG HD wax which do a great job. Plan to try a few different products this time like poor boys diamond white but any advice on different waxes is always appreciated :)

you've got to be careful using wax on white cars as over time it can turn the car creamy. I'm sure someone said using sealant is better than wax ok white but the full on ocd guys will know for sure.

Using wax on a white car is perfectly ok, the reason it will go creamy over time is because the majority of people don't remove old products before applying fresh stuff and it builds up, the same would happen with sealant if given enough coats but because they tend to be thinner and more opaque it would take many more coats.

One of my favourite products is a bit old school but still gets great reviews on DW, Auto Glym Super Resin Polish is a fantastic all round product, it doesn't cost much and because it's filler heavy will cover a lot of swirls as well as minor scratches, if used with a damp applicator goes a long way and doesn't get too powdery when buffing off, the biggest problem with it is it doesn't last as long as it could but if you like looking after your car then thats not a big issue.

I use Dodo Juice Diamond White (Hard Wax), also smells lovely too, beads beautifully for a long time and has a wet/shine look on my Candy White GTI.

Any hint of yellowing as others have suggested?

Are these waxes fine to use on metallic colours or is different product recommended?

Dodo juice mostly do colour infused waxes and each one has a recommended use although they do say you can use any one on any colour but obviously using something like Purple Haze (obviously purple) on a silver car wouldn't be ideal!

Imo you can't go wrong with Dodo juice supernatural, not cheap but will last for ages as with the more expensive waxes less is definately more! It can be used on any colour as it's white/clear, or if you'd prefer the extra protection of a sealant then supernatural hybrid is for you, sealant and wax combined.

I will be using supernatural on my pure white mk7!
