Hey up guys, any of you rocking a short shifter? People say the TTRS short shifter fits or the Diesel Geeks one is great.

Has anyone got experience in them. How much do they cost including labour, how great are the benefits?

Thanks

I tried a short shift on my last Leon Cupra R so the same as our mk6 golfs.
Only lasted a few days and I removed it.
The way the short shift works it just means you've to use more effort to change gear. You lose all the weighted feel as the replacement doesn't weigh anywhere what the original does.
Totally spoils the feel. I then fitted some 42 draft design bushes which were a nice improvement over stock.

Is that all they are, £30?...do you think they are any good. Loads of people say they are a great upgrade, how much labour cost you reckon?

Yeah but the standard Euro short shifter, isnt that whats already fitted. Like i see a lot of Americans changing from OEM USA to Euro short.

So us in Euro, do we need to change to fully after marker one to feel real difference.
