Having never really thought about the subject until this thread was started I'm inclined to think about 2 or 3.
I've done a few quickish A road runs recently and the arse end seems to wallow too much even driving at 6 tenths.
Yesterday evening I had a really good 60 odd mile cross country run on some excellent roads in warm dry weather, not driving silly either having wife and teenage sons in the car, but I really did find the standard suspension a bit soggy accelerating out of fast roundabouts in the middle of nowhere.
The trouble is the GTI has a good blend of comfort and handling as standard and I'd be loathe to change anything after having at least a dozen cars with modified suspension that I grew to gradually hate.
