heavy clutch since vr6 clutch and g60 fly
« on: 12 June 2013, 22:35 »
Riggghhttt as some of u may remember i brought a clutch kit from techniclutch off ebay..
Anyway, since fitting the clutch is quite heavy..is this normal?
Also...its kind of like it takes two pushes to get it into gear.. best way i can explain it..
My mate said the clutch kit was wank, didnt have half the bolts.. he reckons the flywheel was 'unfinished' said there was no dowels and no top deadmarkkk.
Anyway..is the heavy clutch normal?
Cheers
Az

Doesn't sounds right. That upgrade is meant to make it really light apparently. If it takes 2 pumps to get it into gear that sounds like the slave cylinder needs bleeding, did you disconnect the line or unbolt it.

Heavy clutch usually means a worn clutch plate.

Not two pumps, more like 2 clicks of the gear stick to get it in... feels like it goes in to gesr in two stages..
Far as i know it was just unbolted...

Yeah my mate who fitted it said the kit is wank and he csnt see it bein a genuine sachs

The clutch should be very light. I remember when i fitted mine took me a bit to get used too defo no probs selecting gears etc tho. I would get another kit and give the one u got from techniclutch back

so if you trusted the guy to fit it why not listen to him when he said the kit was wank as you put it an get a decent 1 an most decent mechanics wont fit duff parts as in this case looks like he will be doing it again
