oxygen sensor?
« on: 12 June 2013, 18:50 »
done a quick search but nothing. i had my car hooked up to vagcom today and came up with a few fault codes. one for an oxygen sensor? anyone know what this is and could it be causing my dodgey idling on start up?

cheers

which engine have you got, i.e. engine code (and don't come back saying a 2.0 8v)?

Not the most likely reason for an uneven idle. Search for threads on this.

Have checked and compared pt numbers and they do use the same sensor .
Lambda is constantly changing the mixture of air/fuel and of not reading correctly / working will give you a rough idle.  But more than likely its a dirty inlet / throttle as when a lambda sensor fails it will run a factory safe mode to the lambda to prevent over fueling and burning the cat out
