yea, pump does prime for about a second, so i guess it is what you said, a digifant.
Just to help you a little with your learning and stop you getting confused.
Both K-jet and digi will make this noise as the fuel pump primes. The other guy was simply asking this to check if your pump was working.
K-jet is a mechanical injection system - Digi is an electronicly controlled injection system.
Heres 2 pics but bare in mind they are both Left hand drive so will prob look a little different.
Digifant - See the electronic bit on the airbox.
K-Jetronic - See the mechanical bit on the airbox with pipes coming off.
