problem nearly solved
« on: 06 June 2013, 16:43 »
following on from my last 2 posts, can anybody answer me this question? my car wont start because my fuel pump keeps blowing the 15amp fuse in the fuse box, due to the pump probably drawing to much power. does this mean the fuel pump relay is faulty rather than the fuel pump itself ? i can hear a humming noise coming from the back end of the car > this i think in all probability is the fuel pump , its to much of a coincedence not to be. any answer greatfully recieved

replacement fuel pump? if its that causing the fuse to pop then may be the culprit

knowing my luck bud  thats what it will probably be  but still hoping its a faulty pump relay, that could cause the fuse to pop, hoping somebody could tell me before i buy a relay to pop in and see if that cures the problem

that would be the cheaper option, and if it is the pump then atleast you get 2 nice new shiny bits lol

Pump takes about half hour to change. Also if you get a second hand one they are the same for the 1.4,1.6,1.8
