Looking good mate! Cannot get over how much smaller they are!

Wondering which HDD you put in and how!? I will need to upgrade mine, but not all the way to 250, I'd be happy with 100gb...Linky?

I had an external 250gb seagate hardrive lying around bud. So i used that. Did not have to buy one

I brought a caddy of ebay officaly ps3 slim line one put the hardrive in there then i just took out new ps3 sloted in hardrive then switched it on and followed the on screen instrctions and its all set up now

Im sure any laptop hardrive will fit in to be fair. Quite cheap on the bay

Any 2.5" sata hard drive will do. There's no real difference between 5400 and 7200rpm from real world testing.

Just bought the original ps3 (with 4 USB ports) and backwards compatible from ebay for £80. Now what games to get?

Just received gt5 academy edition in the post and instead of playing it is still installing it after having to update the ps3. This is worse than pc gaming. I thought console gaming was meant to be instant gratification not hours of updating and downloading and installing. Might have have to sell it. Ps3 60gb cech03 might be available soon

the ps3 i bought off ebay kept shutting down with a blinking red light after 30mins or so playing GT5. Bought some arctic silver 5 thermal compound and took it apart replaced the thermal compound with the arctic silver 5 and blew out the dust from the fan and it has fixed it. Played GT5 for 3 hours straight with no problems and the fan only ramped up to the second speed.

If anyone is having problems with their PS3 I would recommend replacing the thermal compound as a starting point and it's so easy and cheap to do.
