Wow amazed this is still a problem with VWs.
They must not fix any of there design issues!
I currently have the inner door panels off my 2005 leon as it's leaking in identically to this.
It is caused by the seal between the inner door panel that the window motor is mounted too and the door itself.
The sealing stuff is much cheaper off ebay as its just a butyl sealing strip and is about £12 for enough to do all 4 doors.

Hi Snoopy,
Thanks for replying, do you have more information on the sealing strip required? i.e. size and profile.
Best Regards
Keith.

Ive not had the golf tobits so not 100% sure what they used on the mk6. On the mk4 and leon it was a foam seal that deteriorated. The dealer replaced this with a rubber seal that costs something stupid like 150 a door. What most dealers did is what im going to do and use on the leon. If you search butyl sealing strip on ebay you will find many. You just cut it too length.

Thats what im following for the leon but the mk6 inner panel is plastic rather than thin tin of the mk4/leon.

Does any one know the torque setting for the bolts that secure the inner plastic door panel?
Best Regards
Keith.
