front windshield in a mess... help
« on: 27 May 2013, 15:08 »
hi all

so after detailing the car for ages, only thing that i have now left is take care of my front windshield.  There are scratches and little holes/marks everywhere.  Some come from the wipers (so they are small arrows here and there, probably from sediments that were caught under the wiper).  Others come straight from sediments from other cars (particularly one such mark is right on my eyes' height and is really, really disturbing)

any ideas or help would be much welcome

Only way to remove the lines are through polishing -cerium oxide/jewellers rouge or insurance on the screen because it broke

I have a plan you should try to take the scuttle panel off at the bottom of the windscreen you will definitely need your windscreen after that, and have cracks to show!

The plastic bit that is at the bottom of your windscreen, the bit that your wiper blades go through. It is f**king nails to get off!

mate appreciate your input but not sure that I follow.  what does the plastic bit have to do with stone chip marks on the windscreen?
