What's the score with....
« on: 21 May 2013, 07:49 »
Hey guys my head is all over the place with what I should do with my wheels, I can ether get them refurbed, for £240 but then I'm gunna want to get thinner tyres at some point or... I can get a bigger set from Rimstyle and go for 18" but I'm now worried that because my car is lowered ill get rubbing if I get bigger wheels?

Mine are currently 17's 7j ET35 running 225/45/R17's I get no rubbing at all and the wheels I'm looking at are 18" 8j front, 9j rear ET35 running 225/40/R18's my car is lowered about 40mm what you think guys?

You should be fine up sizing to 18s being that low. Most people are lowered that much on 18s.

18s sit well on 40 profile tyres.

I may have some for sale

Mine are 8J all round ET20 front and ET15 rear, lowered 70mm all round with 215/40/18 tyres. Only get scrubbing when boot is loaded.

Just thought id check prices etc and would thought about ordering whats in the picture below but then I saw ET32?!?! surely that would hit my brake calibur without a spacer on because I always thought I had to use ET35 all round for a perfect fit?
