i could really do with some 18`s.. my car was on the shaker plate at the mot centre yesterday and the movment in the tyre wall was shocking.. that`s with 16" monty 1`s with 205/55/r16`s.
Do you find it drives any better?.

The ride is great mate you certainly feel the road a lot more but you feel glued to the road I was told you feel every bump ect but to be honest you feel the same amount of bumps in the 15"s and 18"s I'm pleased with them straight fit don't need any spacers ect.. I swooped my 15"s in the pic for these straight swop bargain :-)

How much can it be lowered with 18"s without it rubbing on arches

never lower your car unless its on a smooth track. The pot holes and speed humps slow you down and i almost crashed on the motor way doing   :undecided: as the car got airborn and the steering went as i was in the air and i put full lock as it did not work until i landed and went across the lanes .

A lot!

Mine is on JOM's with the fronts and rears all the way down, plus I've taken the adjusters out of the rear as well:

You'll start rubbing the arb on the driveshaft when you get to about 50mm but that can be sorted by swapping the arb for one that goes under the driveshaft. You'll also need 5mm spacers on the fronts to stop the tyre scrubbing on the struts.

To be Honest I kinda like the way it looks at the moment but I never rule anything out once I get used to driving with these alloys I might lower it in the future out of curiosity do anybody what the centre cap size ?
