never lower your car unless i on a smooth track. The pot holes and speed humps slow you down and i almost crashed on the motor way doing 
as the car got airborn and the steering went as i was in the air and i put full lock as it did not work until i landed and went across the lanes . 
you managed to put full lock on while you were in the air. I smell bull sh*t.
if you hit a pot hole and it made you jump, the force of the wheel hitting the upwards part of the pot hole would have been enough to crack the rim most likely for a start, now if it didn't crack the rim and you were air born for long enough to put full lock on then that must have been more of a ramp than a pot hole... and why would anyone ever use full lock on a motorway.
shake the lowering stick at it mate.
