The KO4 is a bigger turbo than both KO3 and KO3s.

KO3 was found on early MK4's whereas KO3s was found on later engines, KO4 was used in some TT's, LCRs & S3s.

The KO4 is a 'bolt on' upgrade to the KO3/KO3s, the only thing that it requires is a different intake pipe and then mapping.

isnt the ibiza a different chassis than the golf? if it were a leon i would say yes it`ll all fit. but its and ibiza, arent they more polo than golf?.
as dom said the block is the same.. but i would have thought the mounts would be different for a start..
also the pipework and looms ect would be routed differently?
all depends on the layout of the ibiza obvously.
just my thoughts as i dont know for sure as im not sure what chassis layout the ibiza has etc..

He already has a 1.8t so he can use his existing mounts etc.

so he will need a LCR/TT225 downpipe, the ecu from the doner car and a loom that`ll suit his car and the doner ecu?
if the ibiza loom will fit his car then almsot good to go..

So am I better off getting the block and turbo off a golf mk4? or will it be more hassle than its worth, the ibiza is still sitting on my mates drive with everything in it.

As Me and Dom discussed previously, I only need the block and turbo.
gearbox loom brakes etc are all on my golf, But is the ibizas engine fitting not possible and as easy as the agu engine from a golf?

Because Im not going to be changing looms over when everything is working fine except for the engine and turbo, also the ibizas standard bhp is 150, which is the same as my golf...

Would it still be a difficult job?

i think you`ll be fine.. its definately worth having.. i think the only think you`ll need is a k04 downpipe from.. if youre lucky his ecu will fit your loom.. check if you both have the same type of ecu.
what year is your car?. if you look in maintenance and info section there are two write ups on ecu pinouts
one for bosch m3.8 (agu) and one for bosch me7. (aum).
like i say its defenatly worth taking it may just mean you`ll need some other bits to make it work.. most bits you`ll already have on your own car.
