cheep coilovers only adjust once or twice,   dosent take them long to sieze.

they don't actualy last very long before the seals go and they leack,  you put them on a track car you'll kill them a few hundred track miles or about 10-15 k on the road

a cheep spring a shock kit of roughly the same price will actualy be quite reasonable quality and have a sensible service life, proably see you out a season or two on the track  or 5 - 10 years and 100k on the road,  car will also handel better.

all the VW's have gone bar 1.

No, it's fine - you're buying sh*t for your car, not ours.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

It was FKs we put on my Golf last October, which threw up down themselves on the same day, wasn't it?

If you can put up with the ride and are able to look after them they will be fine. The do seize quickly though and the coating on the springs will fall off. Although mine were heavily exposed to the winter. Done 1500 miles in them (not leaking or seized but look like an archaeologist just dug them up) before replacing them with AP's (400 quid) and had already done 5000 miles on previous car. Spring coating 100% intact. The difference in ride was substantial.
