bluefin can be removed as and when suits you. take less than 10 minutes

superchips will adjust the map if you feel you want slightly different settings.

it will work on other VAG cars if you decide to change your car

if its a post 2011 diesel chances are the ECU is locked though so needs removing from the car or something. my mate had this issue on his leon CR170

I do keep reading things about clutches and maybe Revo torque which makes me nervous. :undecided:

after all these comments and having done a little research myself i am leaning toward superchips.  Haven't found a single review that sounds negative concerning bluefin on a dsg gti.  My mate has got revo and is quite pleased, but it is 250 pounds more expensive and i can't really say it is worth that much more money.  Horsepower and torque curves seem pretty similar between the 2, even though revo does promise slightly higher numbers than bluefin.  The one advantage i see revo offers is that it has more than 1 modes for the 1st stage, whereas bluefin only comes with 1... Any other input before pressing 'order' would be appreciated

I've had a fair bit of experience with both my previous GTI which had stage 1 Revo and also sometimes get to drive a Bluefin stage 1 car.
The REVO is excellent as is the Bluefin!
Different power deliveries though as mentioned here and elsewhere. The REVO comes on strong and feels raring to go and the Bluefin feels more OEM in its style but with very noticeably more power than my standard GTI.
I used to get a lot of wheelspin with the REVO car but its in gear performance seemed a bit better, however it did seem a bit lumpy at times on part throttle almost as though it didn't quite know how hard to spool up the turbo and I think the dump valve struggled with it too.
The lower octane setting on the REVO is a bit like an even tamer Bluefin program and I actually preferred it for motorway journeys as it was just smoother.
