I've ended up ordering the clips off eBay from the link up there ^
Praying that they would possibly be coming tomorrow as I ordered them early this morning.. although I am stuck as I don't have an 8mm triple square bit. Trip to Halfords is in order I think

Reassuring that I know these clips work. I feel your pain with the MK4, owned it two weeks and already had more problems than I did on my M reg Micra. Can't complain too much though, I'm sure its a car I will grow to love :)

thanks for all the replies, going to have a look tomorrow. Just a bit worried leaving the car windowless :|

Pull the glass back up by hand and wedge it against the rubbers on the inside with end of some clothes pegs or something similar. Not pretty but it will keep the wind and rain out until you have time to fix it. You may need to take the door card off if you can't reach the glass if it's all the way inside the door.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

Don't get me wrong, I love driving it and had good fun while owning it but will never buy one again after I get rid of this. So many little common problems that seem to go wrong week after week.

This is by far and away the most trouble I have had with any car I have owned. Makes my old MK3 seem like the perfect car!

The doors all the way inside the door at the moment; got the window bin bagged up for now aha. Thanks for the suggestion though :)
