i guess i more or less assumed that there may be some issues regarding insurance for professional instructors using quite old cars.

as did i, but i guess just like taxi and private hire, as long as it passes its test ok then all is good  :smiley:

private taxis cant be older than 06 in glasgow  :smiley:

Like Mr Hell i can see the attraction, especially for an instructor with mechanical knowledge who's just started out in business.

I actually really like the idea of learning in something old like this and seeing it gave me a big grin - someone thinking outside the box.

I'd like to see people learn in cars without all these fancy safety systems

My instructor had a 1.0 litre Polo which had no power steering or fancy traction control.  It helps you appreciate the limits of a car when its only you who can avoid an accident
