I finally have a golf estate td. I was just wanting to know if hatchback coilovers fit on an estate?

I did a few searches and drew a blank. I've then searched again with the same keywords and its brought up answers. Is there a reason the back setup is different? Is it for weight reasons?

Yeah the rears have a different set up and like you mention I should imagine it's to cope with the extra potential payload in the boot. Been a TD as well it should have a higher spring rate up front as well due to the heavier engine.

You will need them to suit a TD estate

Wayne's used the best words: need to suit....

You'll probably find estate coil overs that suit Diesels in addition to the "heavier" 4 cyl. petrols 1.8 and 2.0....
