Yeah cos it looks cool as fook! I've done mine and I'm glad, plus it gives you the SD card function.

Just installed mine. Nice big screen which Ive covered with a screensaver off ebay £3
Mine is the DAB version which only cost £215 with P&P  also got the MDI glovebox unit which fits well
Ive removed the glovebox light and replaced it with the MDI socket

Not all come with DAB mine doesn't unfortunately Absolute 80's would have been cool > make do with mp3's on sd card instead

The ones with the TIM button are not DAB but have all the other functions. The ones made in China do not have DAB or RDS so leave well alone. Can get new units for about £200 on ebay. Need a module for bluetooth if not already fitted and a DAB antenna if not already fitted in present car. Otherwise should plug and play.
Mk6 GTI Carbon Grey, 2010 Bluetooth and voice fitted, a few VCDS mods still a comfortable family car. Red Scirocco 2011 twin charger stage 1 - enjoyable drive now gone.  White 2016 Polo GTI (roller skate on steroids) replaced with an Indium Grey 2019 7.5 GTI PP.
