I've just watched Question Time on BBC1, and with an open mind at that... I'll stand by my thoughts that she was right for the country at the time, considering the state it was in!
Well worth catching on BBC iPlayer after tomorrow

So she's dead. How does that affect me?

The choices and legacy she left behind affect us today. Take an example, WW2, many people despise the Germans for their past and happily call them names under this prejudice. Yet the modern generation never had any involvement, yet the prejudice remains.

Ah, well put. Then again couldn't care less about the Germans back in WW2 in the sense I'd still have hatred towards Germans. Never affected me and Germans today aren't gassing us.

I guess I just don't care about what I wasn't alive for.

Why do you hate the Germans? What have they done to you in your lifetime? And of course it affected you! The little bubble you live in could have been completely different had Germany won the war.

Those that hate Germans are the ones that have had no real interaction with them. Again, being in the Forces has opened my eyes, having worked alongside them, and also been out for a few beers with them too! They are extremely professional and Efficient in the working environment, and as far as I'm concerned, they have the best Navy in the world, closely followed by the Dutch. (Yanks are in my bottom three by the way!). They are also very warm and friendly as a whole, and very respectful, not like the stereotypes the likes of Bellend is probably thinking that steal your sunbed on holiday!
Look at the the amount of white Brits you see around town now though. 15 year old girls with a kid in a pram, a fag in one hand and a bottle of cider in the other, shouting and swearing at OAPs and the like. Dregs of society that seems to be getting more and more common by the day!

I agree with Audi on this I come from a mixed background, my dads English, but his mother was polish, my dad moved to Russia, then Kazakhstan, then back here. We have many friends and family members from various parts of the world as they branched out to other countries. My sister in laws family have a long line of German history, I've been Germany many times as some extended family and friends live there. But to stereotype them in that way is just being naive. Typically if anything the Germans in general are efficient, skilled and resourceful, even if they seem to have not such a flexible humour.

Most places you go people will meet you with open arms in any country or culture but its usually a minority or a stereotypical view that ruins things.

Are you some some sort of moronic troll?

The UK has been in Europe since 1975.

Please do some reading before opening your mouth and letting idiotic words fall out of it, wot you heard down the pub.

Here is your starter for 10:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Kingdom_European_Communities_membership_referendum,_1975

As for the billions the EU costs the UK, have a browse over here and maybe you will get a better understanding of that, too:

http://www.euromove.org.uk/index.php?id=15296

Blair did many things, but entering the UK into Europe was not one of them.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.
