The choices and legacy she left behind affect us today. Take an example, WW2, many people despise the Germans for their past and happily call them names under this prejudice. Yet the modern generation never had any involvement, yet the prejudice remains.

I understand not everyone agreeing with her political agenda at the time etc etc, the thing that got me was being hideously disrespectful. There are still horrible things being said about her, some level par with with some things said about Hitler, and those two are not in the same category!

What's disrespectful is not understanding the genuine hatred some people have who were actually and very significantly affected by the decisions she and her cabinet made.

There are two side to every tory and just because you hold a certain belief doesn't make it right either way.

Respect is something that's earned and a significant portion of the decisions she made were not respectful of many communities.

I recommend if you think she demands respect that you read up some more.

It is also politically sensitive that she's croaked under a month before local elections and the government are spraying a bunch of state money out on her funeral.

The waste of taxpayers money is genuinely sickening, however i do wish we have politicians now that are as commited to their party and the message instead of the constant roundabout of face saving and issue avoidance.

I was not old enough while thatcher was in power
I was speaking to a work colleague few days ago
He supported her he benefited in the army
And the mines were getting money ploughed into them
And not making profit that's why they were closed trying to make me
Understand now I have been reading this thread lol alot of bad decisions also
