8v gti headlight adjust

iv recently brought the headlight adjust loom and controls. anyone know what else i need for it to work. will it work on the standard lights or are there specific ones

you need a light switch with height adjustment wheel, the loom obviously....

and the 2 stepper motors on the headlights. they replace the corner mount of the reflector (the reflector is held on by 3 points, 2 come with adjustment screws, third is a plug with ball end that mounts to reflector - or a stepper motor if it is one with electric height adjustment.

you can convert any oem mk3 headlight with the stepper motor in place of the third mount...

(tbh i don't understand why you'd want it - be happy if you don't have it - one MOT failure mode less )

yeh true i geuss. although car is in garage now having mot so wudnt be installing it until after anyway
