ABS sensor problem
« on: 07 April 2013, 09:14 »
 Hi Everyone,

My ABS light and traction control light came on last week so I scanned it and it showed rear passenger sensor had failed so I ordered a new part which came a couple of days ago.

Today I went to remove the old sensor and fit the new one and that's where the problem arose, I couldn't remove the old sensor, the 5mm bolt that secures the sensor  is seized into place, I spryed some wd40 and left it soak but still can't get the bolt out, the socket will not fully sit into the bolt head and if I use an Allan key I can't really get the leverage to loosen it.

Any suggestions??

Thanks

Noel

Chunky pliers didn't do the trick.  I'll have to get a pair of locking pliers and give that a go and keep my fingers crossed.
